Section 51 is a long one, as it runs 25.5 miles from VA Hwy 624 to US Hwy 220. It passes a number of places along the way, though: VA Hwy 785, VA Hwy 311 near the town of Catawba, Johns Spring Shelter, Catawba Mountain Shelter, McAfee Knob, Campbell Shelter, Tinker Mountain, and Lamberts Meadow Shelter.<br />
